Thursdays are now my favorite day!
I was fortunate to meet Buck O’Neil at the Negro League Baseball Museum back in the day. I have visited several more times since. Being a Kansas City Royals fan it is a must to make time and visit the museum between games. When I heard that Bob Kendrick was launching the Black Diamonds podcast I couldn’t wait for it to start. I have a few other podcasts that I like, but this is the only one I jump on when it comes out each week. It gives me so much I never knew about the league and the players and even more to go research. If you have not tuned in do yourself a favor and start from Episode 1.

There’s no greater baseball storyteller than Bob Kendrick. Thanks for keeping the flame alive.

Bob Kendrick is an incredible storyteller and his podcast is incredibly well done. I can almost picture Oscar Charleston patrolling center field or Josh Gibson stepping to the plate through his stories. The Cuba episode was a slice of baseball history I knew almost nothing about.
