Born and raised in Colorado, Charlene Huang (Music Production Executive, Netflix) received her violin degree from Manhattan School of Music and moved to LA in 2004 to work in music production for world-renowned film composer Hans Zimmer. She considers herself to be a hybrid of studio musician and music executive in the entertainment business. During her tenure as Director of Music at DreamWorks Animation, she worked on 19 films, including popular film franchises such as Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, Madagascar, and How to Train Your Dragon. Currently, she oversees music production for animated features and series at Netflix. The studio’s 3rd and latest animated feature, Over the Moon, launched this past October. As an artist, she is a studio violinist for film and television scores, has toured and performed in over 300 shows at major venues across the U.S., and has performed and recorded with notable artists such as Dr. Dre, Adele, Pharrell, Guster, Fun., WuTang Clan, and The Used. Over the years, mentoring has also been an important part of Charlene’s journey, sharing knowledge and insights from her various music industry experience with the next generation of emerging talent.
Chris Tedesco (Contract Trumpet Player / Music Contractor) has distinguished himself as a one of the top call Trumpet players on the music scene in Los Angeles since 1987. Some most recent credits include the newer TV shows American Horror Story, Feud, Timeless, Making History, The Quad, the Netflix series Jessica Jones, All Hail King Julien TV cartoon series, Miles from Tomorrowland, Sheriff Callie’s Wild West and Mickey and the Roadster Racers. Other credits include the movie soundtracks to For Your Consideration, Finding Nemo, Best in Show, Batman Begins, The Mexican, Winchell, and Nixon. Television credits include American Idol, The Playboy Club, The Green Lantern cartoon series, Beware the Batman cartoon series, America’s Best Dance Crew, the El Tigre cartoon series, The Latin Grammys, The SAG Awards, the Star Trek TV series, The District, Chicago Hope and many more. He is the leader of the Angel City Horn section, which have recorded the hit tunes “Don’t Cha Wish” for the Pussy Cat Dolls, and Christina Aguilera’s “Candyman” and “Nasty Naughty Boy”.
Gina Zimmitti (Music Contractor) hires the foremost Los Angeles musicians to record for film, television, & new media scores and to perform for live concerts. She coordinates scoring budgets and recording sessions on behalf of many of our field’s accomplished composers. Nearly two decades into her career, she still feels privileged to collaborate with talent old and new and to help shape the sound of the score by inviting the right people into the right rooms. She is thankful for the journey thus far, and is excited to continue investing in the longevity and vibrancy of film music in innovative ways.
