“I don’t know why I liked listening to this podcast. I’ve only listened to one episode (29) and it was everything I don’t want in a board game podcast. At least I thought?
For some reason, that I’ll attempt to explain, I found them to be quite entertaining. I appreciated there lack of care when it comes to the production of their show. It felt real, casual and refreshingly honest. It wasn’t two dudes awkwardly talking about board games just because they like board games or because they want to be the next big BG podcast. Rather, It was two good friends talking about board games and whatever else came up organically (in episode 29’s case, squirrels) through conversation.
This is not the podcast for you if you’re looking for quick, straight to the point reviews, news or other board game related information. That said, If you’re looking for something board game related to kill the time while allowing you to feel like you’re hanging out with some cool people talking about games you love/hate, based on the episode I listened to, I’d recommend this podcast.”
