My guests today are Irish filmmakers Luke and Jake Morgan.
Their films have screened at festivals all over the world - from South Africa and Japan, the USA to Ireland's premiere festivals.
Luke was the winner of the "Best Director" award at Worcester Film Festival for 2021 and 2022, nominated for the Discovery Award at the Dublin International Film Festival in 2020. He is also an award-winning published poet.
Jake Morgan is a composer, conductor and producer from Ireland who specializes in creating original music and audio for film, theatre, and video games.
Jake was the producer and composer of the multi award-winning short film THE BOAT which has qualified for an Academy Award. He is the co-founder of Morgan Brothers and is based in Galway, Ireland.
Their newest short film THE BOAT is based on a true story. When a young girl named Dhuckia grows up, she wants to be a boat maker, like her father. But when he discovers that she is showing the early symptoms of leprosy, he must make a devastating choice.
