AUGANIC has been Oscar-qualified for the 2025 Academy Awards and even though the basis of this film may seem strange to some, it’s all about the relationship. The cinematography is absolutely stunning, excellent acting and the music score is one of the best this current season of short films. About the Director Krit Komkrichwarakool is an award-winning Thai-Canadian director/writer based in Vancouver. His previous credits include PLANTONIC premiered at the Inside Out Film Festival and FREEFALL was the recipient of the 'Best Director' award at Moscow Shorts and also 'Best Short Film' nominee at the 2018 Leo Awards. His short AUGANIC shares the story of a couple who are financially struggling when one night they discover an unusual phenomenon that ultimately tests the boundaries of their relationship, bringing them closer than ever.
