“Having a podcast that walks through the various FromSoft games in such articulate, intelligent and generous detail is incredible - and no ‘series’ is more deserving of this kind of treatment. It’s just a shame the treatment had to come from these guys. They have views. You will probably agree with their views, because said views are neither interesting nor complex. But they will repeatedly act like ‘you’ (addressed as such) might not agree with their views and therefore need them explained as a tangential pseudo-intellectual context for understanding a lore that really doesn’t need or benefit from it. If you think your appreciation of Elden Ring will be enhanced by some banal references to MAGA politics and white supremacy (both are bad mmkay) by two dudes obsessed with straw-manning their own audience then this is podcast for you. If not, it’s probably still the podcast for you because the games are excellent and nobody else has yet come close to this kind of quality in their discussion.”
