“I listened to not just one but two episodes about breast feeding struggles. It is SO hard to find this kind of subject elsewhere and women are so shamed surrounding this.
I have been unable to breast feed due to hospitalisation and mastitis/ sepsis with breast feeding multiple times. I get it so much that oral antibiotics do not work on the infection and I can’t even walk to the car I’m so sick (I could be a lactation consultant at this point with the amount of help and research I have done) . The struggles I have with it not once but twice have effected my mental health hugely and I still carry so much shame with the fact I formular fed my babies after the first 6 weeks. Breast is best and we get it but for me it was impossible to breast feed and I don’t say that as a cop out. The one thing I wanted to do so so badly just made me sick and depressed… Thankyou so highlighting something that sometimes doesn’t work out. Such a relief to listen and so healing! Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou!”
