“When Chad told me he was going to start a podcast with his buddy Evan, I thought, “Cool, I might listen sometime if I have time.” But when I saw the podcast shooting to the top of the Spotify charts in the first month, I knew they must have a good thing going, so I aspired to lend an ear. As a fellow nerd, fantasy lover, and writer myself, I quickly began devouring episodes, one after another on my commutes to work, during running errands, etc. I simply could not get enough! Evan and Chad each bring unique experiences of the fantasy genre to the table that both compliment, and build upon one another like a smorgasbord of hero’s journeys, villainous rivalries, and tantalizing reviews. I particularly enjoyed reminiscing down memory lane to the tune of The Hobbit (my introduction to the extraordinary genre of fantasy), and the Redwall series in “The Books That Made Us” episode. Whether you are a fantasy virgin or aficionado, it makes little difference. Drop whatever you’re doing (within reason; please don’t drop a child), and tune into this incredible podcast you didn’t know you needed in your life. As the title suggests, and to quote renowned martial artist and ‘Forged in Fire’ judge, Doug Marcaida, “It will kill!””
