“The issue I have with this podcast is that it fails to deliver what it promises. ”Three avid book readers” is imprecise at best. I’ve listened to about seven or eight episodes, and often one host chooses to watch an adaptation instead of reading. The description also promises that these hosts will ”discuss, dissect, and disagree.” They often only follow through on the last. I was hoping for a podcast that delves into the nuances of a text and instead found one where they argue over surface-level points. I wish there were more discussion and direction. It is a bit messy.”
