BOSTON -- On Tuesday night, the Atlanta Hawks rallied from a 15-point second-half deficit to edge out the Boston Celtics 117-116 in their NBA Cup opener. The Celtics struggled offensively, with Joe Mazzulla pointing out that Monday's offensive issues cost Boston a home game where they were 15.5-point favorites against a Hawks team they had defeated just a week earlier—and that was missing Trae Young, among others.
