Please discuss the riakpore/boxxer purse pullout
As always a 5 star podcast, with excellent insight and coverage of the sport. In the interest of fairness, please discuss the boxxerr pullout for riakpore. Not long ago Matt Christie mentioned on this podcast how he felt ben shalom was a breath of fresh air on the boxing promotion circuit in this country, and his willingness and desire to work with other promotional companies for the benefit of the fighters and the fans. Fast forward and we see two clear examples of how this is completely false. 1 -very last minute pull out of Fraser Clarke for the British title purse bid, 2 - last minute pull out of riakpore for the IBF and ring magazine titles. The fact Boxxerr are not even willing to take part in purse bids, and offer an opportunity to go out to the competitive market, and benefit their fighters with career high pay days is awful. Matchroom and boxxer went for a purse bid for a dalton smith (matchroom signed boxer) British title fight, boxxerr win, dalton agrees to the fight and it takes places on a boxxerr show and sky sports network. Alicia bumgarner (matchroom signed boxer) offered a deal to fight on the boxxer produced show and sky sports platform, matchroom agree a deal for her to fight on the competitor platform. I have seen no sign of boxxerr wanting to work with other promoters, and therefore feel you should review the previous statements made on this podcast about boxxerr/Ben shalom, and if he is truly this breath of fresh air, or if it was a great marketing line that does not follow through.
