He served several tours of combat before being killed in Afghanistan.  Killjan Anderson is the Executive Director of the Pat Tillman Foundation. The organization honors Pat's legacy by supporting active-duty service members, veterans, and their spouses with academic scholarships, a national network, and professional development opportunities.  “Working for an organization that is out to celebrate someone's legacy is serious business. It puts a lot of pressure on the staff, and we welcome that pressure, but it is a lot to live up to.”
