It’s good for Science teachers too!
Hey! You may be wondering why a science teacher would be listening to a podcast on teaching english? Well, I teach in english...my students read and speak in english, so it just kind of makes sense. As a science teacher I was looking for another layer to place into my pedagogy. I was totally comfortable with the typical “doing” science through hands on labs and activities, but there was a big piece missing: communication! There is so much science information on the web, and A LOT of it is not necessarily real science or even communicated properly. My students needed to learn how to read about, write about, and talk about science. So this podcast seemed like it was something I needed to check out...and I am glad I did! From critical reading skills to curating resources for reading and discussion, as well as assessment tips that have saved my sanity...I love this podcast! Marie and Amanda are amazing!

I really enjoyed the podcast over teaching a specific skill and exactly how you would go about it. My favorite episode of all so far!

I look forward to the new episode every week. These two teachers have given me so many new ideas and new ways of thinking. I found their podcast when I was struggling with my own life as a teacher and they reminded me of all that is amazing and exciting about teaching and being with kids.
