Hideki Matsuyama shot a Sunday 62 at Riviera Country Club to take the Genesis Open title against a star studded field in Los Angeles. Matsuyama had struggled for much of the last year, but found something on Sunday when he blitzed a field that averaged around 70 for the day. Tiger Woods fell ill and had to WD and Jordan Spieth was DQ'd for signing for the wrong score. Couple that with Patrick Cantlay struggling after having a commanding lead and Scottie Scheffler showing some frustration finally on the greens, and you had a captivating event.
