Description
In this episode of the Breakout with Newt Gingrich podcast, Newt interviews the founder of Hopecam, Len Forkas. Hopecam allows children who are not in school because they are undergoing treatment for cancer to stay connected with their classmates via a webcam. Len’s son Matthew, who was diagnosed with Leukemia eleven years ago, had to remain at home during his treatment and could not be with his friends. Len decided to put a webcam on a computer in order to help Matthew remain close with them. In the past eleven years, technology has evolved tremendously and allowed Hopecam to reach out to many more children and their families in order to allow them to remain close to their classmates during their treatments.
