Listen now
Description
In this episode of the Breakout with Newt Gingrich podcast, Newt speaks to an audience at The American Enterprise Institute (AEI) in Washington, D.C.to discuss his plan to use 21st century smartphone technology in order to improve the healthcare of our veterans. The Department of Veterans Affairs is a bureaucratic nightmare that keeps our veterans trapped in a system which refuses to adapt to a world where private hospitals and treatment centers are using the most advanced technology offered. Perhaps the most outrageous partof the VA scandal, is that performance bonuses that were given to senior VA officials in 2013. 78% of senior VA managers received bonuses for “outstanding”ratings. The level of corruption and incompetence on display at the VA is why we need a model of replace, not reform for the Veterans Administration.
