“Don’t speak absolutes with such a broad brush. I
Understand all your statistics, but some biological parents or one parent are mentally, sexually &/or physically abusive, while the other parent sometimes enables or denies this behavior.
How do these children cope? It’s hush and hush and taboo to talk about. How awful to know their own daddy &/or mommy would abuse them causes severe emotional & physical damage. And how difficult puberty must be. Do you not believe this goes on? It does, a lot. I agree that parents should not run to divorce if they are having difficulties. Marriage is hard, but worth doing the work. Educating young people about this fact before marriage is essential. My husband and I have been together 50 years. Throughout the years, life changes, and we have different challenges. It’s been so worth it for us to struggle through. Thank you. I appreciate your program.”
