Overcoming Addiction and Listening to the Soul with Dr. Elisa Hallerman
Description
Dr. Elisa Hallerman’s inner saboteur is named Trixie. Trixie is impulsive, she can be inappropriate – loud, sloppy, manipulative, and dishonest. At her lowest, Elisa thought she was Trixie. “I started to realize that Trixie was not only a mask that I could take off, but more importantly was a part of me that I could personify and give autonomy, that she could become my greatest ally and a teacher.”
This week, she discusses being sober for 20 years and her unique career, from lawyer to Hollywood talent agent to opening the first-ever recovery management agency. As well as understanding depth psychology, tapping into the unconscious part of ourselves, going deeper into the soul through quiet time and creativity, and doing soul work through storytelling.
Mentions:
Somatic Experiencing method developed by Dr. Peter Levine
