Description
Around eight or nine years ago, Jacqui Brassey, Ph.D., experienced a “confidence crisis” which forced her to change how she takes care of herself, and which inspired her to teach others how to do the same. While low-grade anxiety was a constant companion in her life before this point, the combination of a new job and working environment, alongside a lack of self-care, exacerbated her anxiety, putting a roadblock in her ability to reach her potential—a problem which wasn’t helped by her hiding of it.
Following her “confidence crisis,” Brassey began to study the topic, a journey which not only allowed her to discover the science behind her crisis but, as a learning and development professional, how these issues affect our ability to meet our potential at work and in life.
Brassey is a core researcher and practitioner in the field of Sustainable Human Development and Performance. Read her new book, Deliberate Calm: How to Learn and Lead in a Volatile World, and find her on LinkedIn at Jacqui Brassey.
