Friends in my head!!
I just recently got into listening to podcasts and learned about this one when I was listening to the two of you on Rabia and Ellyn Solve the Case. I’m a huge Rachel Bilson fan and so I had to check this podcast out. It is absolutely AMAZING! From the hosts, to the opening song, to the guests and everything in between. It is so raw, so real and so relatable!! I am binging the episodes on my commute to and from work (an hour each way) and though I’m in my car, I feel like I am sitting in the living room with my friends, discussing anything and everything, going off on tangents and down rabbit holes, like girlfriends do. I often find myself wanting to jump in and be a part of the actual conversation. Okay, I won’t lie, sometimes I do agree and answer questions aloud as if you all can hear me! I have ADHD and what I love the most is that when your conversations go off on tangents, no one pressures anyone to get back to the original topic or shames anyone for changing subjects. With all the thoughts that are swirling inside my little brain, my brain and I feel validated. You just let the conversation go wherever it goes. And somehow you always end up talking about food at some point. I feel we are so much alike. I LOVE food. Oh, I have so much more I want to say and share!! May I add here, for the record, Olivia, you are amazing. From your personality, to your voice, to your opinions, to your contributions to the conversations! Never let anyone steal your joy, self-confidence or self worth! Anyhoot, just like you say to many of your guests, I want to be your friend and hang out with you! And so, I will anxiously await the day that can actually happen, but for now I’ll enjoy your company via the speakers in my car and we’ll forever be friends in my head! PS…if you ever want to have a non-famous, “nobody” guest on your show, I’d welcome the invite anytime. We can discuss interracial marriage, motherhood (bi-racial children, military sons, foster care and adoption), estranged relationships, teaching, being a “Lolli” (grandma), overcoming trauma, bicycling across Iowa, paranormal, and so much more! Well, alrighty bahdighty this review just turned into a chapter! To be continued (live or in my head, LOL)… Byyyeeeeeeeeee! ❤️

More reviews of Broad Ideas with Rachel Bilson & Olivia Allen
Olivia and Rachel radiate charm and are so disarming with guests and so cute with each other. My introduction was the episode with Kristin Kish and through silliness and earnest curiosity, absolutely had a moving and profound conversation on a range of topics and I’m a fan for life now!

New listener, really enjoying this podcast. I love Rachel Bilson. She has a great balance of adding her own tidbits but letting the guests speak. I think it’s tough to have a podcast with so many hosts because there’s a lot of talking over each other. The other cohost seems to jump in A LOT for...Read full review »
