“I begin every weekday listening to Today on Broadway. I love it because it’s full of good info and keeps me up to date on the happenings in theatre. But to me the best podcasts are the ones that are informative and have good hosts. Unfortunately, the hosts of this show are unappealing to me. I don’t mind people sharing their opinions, but their soapbox that they stand on to make political comments on an almost daily basis get very annoying after a while. Even when I agree with them I get annoyed because it’s SO often, often harping on the same tired thing. Based on the comments they’ve made on the show I know they don’t really care when listeners feel this way, and that’s their prerogative, but as a listener their’s a lot of eye rolling on my part. The production value of the show is mediocre often leaving in mistakes that are meant to be edited out. I do applaud them for putting out a daily podcast on a consistent basis. That’s a lot of work. Overall, I listen for the info but if another daily theater podcast came along with better hosts, I would jump ship.”
