Good Content, Moderate Production Value
Broadway Radio's podcast became my staple when The American Theatre Wing stopped regularly recording Downstage Center. This is the best podcast to get informed views of what's going on in the theatre. The variety of critics is great, and they review a nice variety of broadway, off-broadway, and regional productions. My big nit with the program is the production value. I am by NO means an audiophile who is focused on the recording quality of everything I hear. I get that this is a quick to market production, but the sound levels in the podcast are all over the place. Peter Filichia's voice is always louder than everyone else, and the musical interludes are usually much softer. This equates to busted eardrums if you turn up the volume to hear the musical introductions and then suddenly someone starts talking. If the team could fix this, Broadway Radio would be SO MUCH BETTER!

I go to New York to see plays once or twice a year, and these professionals really tell it like it is. Thank you Peter Filichia for bringing your vast knowledge and experience of Broadway to me ech week!

You can try reading the NY Times and the trades alone to keep up with theatre in NYC, but the discussions on BroadwayRadio really round out the picture in a way that individual articles here and there just can’t do. Love the show!

This is a valuable addition to anyone who loves or is in the Theatre--Broadway, Off-Broadway and out of town, performer, box office, audience member.
