“Brock and Salk have become the best radio show in Seattle and it’s not even close. One of the things that elevates them from all others is the fact that Salk can talk about baseball better than any other local person on the radio. My one complaint would be that they read too many stupid texts, particularly from Mariners fans. The average baseball fans knowledge about baseball economics is embarrassing. (Example: Lyle) Show me one owner in sports who spends more than they receive in revenue? If I could ask one question, it would be, who spends a higher percentage of their revenue, Yankees, Dodgers, or Mariners? My guess is it’s the Mariners. All you have to do is look at a map and see that a heck of a lot more eye balls in Los Angeles and New York than Seattle. It’s too bad MLB doesn’t share their TV revenue equally like the NFL. Unfortunately, the teams in the biggest cities will never agree to share their TV revenue, unlike the NFL.”
