An exercise in listening, learning, and leading
I was hooked after the first episode and could not stop listening. I learned that there were blind spots in my own advocacy, allyship, and sponsorship and I am happy to unlearn things like “pick your brain” meetings, even if I wasn’t like the colleague in Mita’s example and stealing her idea, Im still part of the problem if I use that brainstorm session and not give credit where it’s due as it contributed to my final proposal. Additionally, the transparency and authenticity of the hosts are refreshing perspectives that tells it like it is but also gives heart to hard conversations. I’m hopeful that the host conversations, experiences, and lessons not only relate but also empower women of color in personal and professional world. Cannot recommend this podcast enough!
