27 dresses, but only 5 stars
When you have to remind yourself that you aren’t actually friends with Deej and Pete, and that you only listen to their podcast twice a week, you know that’s a good show. Great to listen to, but sometimes I pause the podcast in the middle to go listen to a band that is mentioned and I get so hooked on the music I never finish the episode. (Shouts for introducing me to Haim, saw them at ACL and they were awesome) I used to work at a gas station overnight, and since there were few people coming in and out aside from drug addicts and truckers, I used to play the podcast over the speakers while I mopped floors and put the coffee pot on. One day a nice, innocent looking mom came in right in the middle of a “Kid Who’s Having a Bad Time in Prison” discussion about some sloppy nutrients. The mom was terrified. My night was made.

There are only 2 groups: superheroes and sidekicks. While Pete is the obvious superhero, Deej is less Robin to Batman as he is Oates to Hall or Franco, D to Efron. I discovered Brunch two weeks ago and have binged the entire episode lineup since. If this podcast were two hit 90s early preteens/teens sitcoms...
