This show is very frustrating. The guests are so interesting and I really, really want to listen. I have tried, oh how I’ve tried to struggle through each episode, but the interviewer is well…just not that good. Sometimes it seems like he isn’t even listening to the guests, but just biding his time until he has the opportunity to comment about himself – comments that are, more often than not, irrelevant. Other times, it seems like he just doesn’t “get it”. I thought his interview technique would improve over time, but nope. Consistent? Yes. Probing and insightful? Not so much.

I agree that Rick does a great job interviewing, asking questions for clarification etc. Rick is doing the best he can with the skills and experience he has. I am grateful for this resource.
