“This feels like it was written by a twelve year old girl who tried to put her own spin on plagiarizing the Star Wars story. The idea seems interesting at first but it is so poorly executed. There is no feeling in it and the interactions between characters who have not seen each other in years is beyond unrealistic. But hey the author does beat us over the head with female power and men bad politics at every turn so there’s that. And hey the main bad guy is closeted so he will of course be a main character moving forward who realizes the error of his ways. Blue politics so forced and unnecessary — skip.”
