“The last episode ends with a major cliffhanger and the resolution hidden behind a paywall. There was never a clear indication before the podcast started that listeners would be left hanging, so an otherwise really well-done podcast loses its luster. The podcast has no info on when the episode regarding results of the trial would be released.
Sure, it’s the producers’ prerogative to ask listeners to pay for their content. But if that’s the case, it’s also the listeners’ prerogative to just Google the case without being left required to pay for the pivotal episode in a particularly heinous crime. You’re better off not getting emotionally invested in a story of one woman’s search for justice after severe physical and emotional suffering. Just do right by the victim and instead do a web search to find out about her heroic actions.”
