Powerful and sobering
Hank Klibanoff relates the hard and brutal truths of our American past in this series. It’s a sobering journey into the South in the post WWII era, but ultimately an important and insightful look into our collective memory and why we tend to forget some truths. Ultimately the podcast recovers the humanity of those who were treated inhumanly for so long.

If the first episode is any indication, Buried Truths will expose a new audience to the poorly understood intersection a politics and racial violence in Georgia history and southern history generally.

This is not suffering porn or gratuitous voyeurism. Instead, the program offers historical context and an understanding of life for Blacks under Jim Crow. I highly recommend this! What’s more is that the podcast is well produced and the narrative is engrossing.
