Amazing Podcast
This podcast is just amazing. It’s such a treasure. For too long, the topic of the terror that Black America was subjected to (and continues to be subjected to in insidious ways) has just been overlooked in standard histories of this country. As a young Black woman, it’s both disheartening and strangely cathartic to hear these stories, stories that acknowledge the pain and suffering that having these “buried truths” in our country has created. I’m looking for ways to incorporate this into the writing courses I teach, too; the structure is and pacing are spot-on and these topics are still so important.
