Good idea, too slow
The first episode on Netflix vs. Blockbuster is interesting, but I could do without the drawn out descriptions and sound effects. I don’t need to know about the clothes someone is wearing. I don’t need someone to describe what the inside of a movie rental store looks like. This contributes to a big problem, the speed. It takes way too long to go through uninteresting parts of the “war”. I don’t think many listeners care about what type of shirt a guy likes, or a horse someone’s wife owns, or what they do on the weekend unless it is related to the story. Frankly, this first story sounds like it could be told in an interesting fashion in about an hour. I understand the idea of creating tons of episodes to draw in new listeners and pad numbers to sell advertising, but if you expect business minded people to stick around, you’re going to have to cut that out.

This is a story podcast, not a business podcast. The structure was extremely annoying. Sound effects like knocking on a door and descriptions like “the woman is wearing a leopard pant suit. She walks up the sidewalk...” Extremely annoying. Immediately unsubscribed.

Great show! Love these stories but there are too many ads and the ads are terrible!
