So inspiring and moving
I began listening to podcasts as part of a long list of changes I was trying to incorporate in my life. I went from being a single girl living in the city, to finding the love of my life and moving to the suburbs with him to start a new chapter. Getting engaged and moving into a beautiful home in a quiet neighborhood was all a huge blessing. However, I was never a suburban girl and I found myself struggling to adjust and fitting in with my new surroundings. All my friends were still in the city and I began seeing them less and less. I also quit my city job and began working at a new place in the suburbs. And while my fiancé was amazingly supportive through all the changes, I still felt like I was becoming lost in all the transitions. I went into a bit of a depression, began eating takeout regularly, and drinking more alcohol. I gained weight, I was sleeping more, and felt lonely without my girlfriends. I eventually decided that I needed to make some changes as I could barely recognize myself. I started going on daily walks for self care. I began looking for podcasts to listen to while I did these walks, and that’s how I stumbled upon this podcast. It immediately stood out to me. I found Jayden so inspiring and motivating. I started to get ideas from her episodes and realized I could still create a pretty life in my new environment. I had been throwing myself a pity party because I had lost all of my favorite things from the city, but I failed to realize I could make new friends, do new hobbies, and still live a fulfilling life. I now excitedly wait for each week’s podcast and listen to it on my morning walks.
