“Just as Bonnie Greer avoided watching all of Joe Biden’s disastrous debate, so I avoided the BYT “Biden Question” podcast. I figured it would just be a regurgitation of right-wing tropes, an unthinking echoing of the anti-Biden ageist narrative put out by Fox News, the New York Times, Russian bots etc. The Economist has fallen for the ageist tropes, as has the New Statesman, Campbell and Stewart and a few others. I’ve had enough. Why don’t they critically check the source of these “Biden is too old for the job” tropes, I ask. And then I listened to Bonnie Greer. What a refreshing, considered opinion she put forward. A breath of fresh air in what has otherwise become a mish-mash of nonsense designed to divert attention from the miscreant Trump and his felonies, threats and misdeeds. MSM owners have done a great job on behalf of Trump and people need to waken up to that before it’s too late. So I’m glad I listened to Bonnie Greer after all. I look forward to a Biden win this November.”
