Potential overhaul for Leaving Certificate

The Leaving Certificate could see a major overhaul in a bid to reduce the stress put on young people. The Irish Times is reporting that both English and Maths could be reduced to just one paper, with students completing project work worth 40 percent of their overall grade in 5th year. If approved, the changes would come into force for students entering fifth year in September 2026.
