Didn’t really meet high hopes/expectations
Really intriguing story that took too many turns. The one interesting story from Guerin’s personal life in one of the earlier episodes that sounded like it was going to come back... it didn’t. Why mention it then? It didn’t really add that much to the story and it’s not a story that really needs us to feel any empathy for the host in order to listen. Ending was a huge dud. Felt like I was listening to the audio version of a Cameron Crowe movie (not good). Also, certain things Guerin had to say to describe the people who were vicitimized by Silver Saddles left me feeling icky/uncomfortable. The white gaze of it all....

Great podcast. I don’t want to ruin it, but this podcast shows the power in truth and transparency. A cautionary tale. But gives hope to the disenfranchised.

Incredibly off-putting to hear the host express her annoyance at the subject - someone who nearly lost everything - for not opening up to her immediately, and in the very first episode.
