“My parents bought into the CA city dream in 1980. They purchased their lot through Great Western. I remember my father always said “When the big earthquake strikes, CA City will be beachfront property”....I now wonder if this was a “sales tactic” used to sell the dirt. The lot still sits in our family trust. Worthless...and we still pay property taxes. Thank you for this wonderful investigative journalism🙏”
