“Silver Saddle Resort is well-known among birders as an excellent place to see unusual birds attracted to the only green area within miles of Mojave Desert.
I have visited the grounds twice, and it did not disappoint.
I always sensed, though, that a story lay hidden in the miles of empty streets that surround the resort.
A story did lie hidden, and Emily Guerin has done a masterful job bringing it to light. One of the most captivating true stories I’ve listened to in a long time. Congrats, Emily!”
