Pie charts a new course
When Jonathan Pie was unleashed on the unsuspecting public he caught everyone by surprise. But when the conceit was revealed it lost some of its initial impact. However, once we’d peaked behind the curtain it took on a new life, as did the character. Pie had the knack of vocalising very angrily what many were thinking about the current state of British politics. This slightly toned down, radio friendly version continues with the original conceit with equally biting satire. In fact, in the first episode he takes a good bite at the hand that’s feeding him. Great to hear the Beeb is still capable of broadcasting quality satirical comedy in this age of over sensitive political correctness.

More reviews of Call Jonathan Pie
As well as being razor sharp, insightful and informative this is above all one the funniest things I’ve heard in years. I know he’s just a character, but sweet Jesus I wish he was real. I would very much like to go for a drink at get ranted at by him.

This is political commentary for those that find Russell Brand to offer insightful and balanced critiques. A good premise, delivery lands with a thud. Entirely in line with the established Pie canon.
