“Over the years it’s been frustrating turning on TV and watching personalities not know enough or give opinions based on surface knowledge. Or the opposites, guy that know a lot that are 0% entertaining and feels like I’m listening to a lecture. This is a show and a company with a wide variety of expertise but also brings a level of entertainment. As a more casual college football fan It did take me a few shows to start knowing coaches names and deeper play names outside the typical stars. But It’s hard finding shows that have the knowledge and a group of guys you can tell get along off camera. A group that’s more than just coworkers forced to talk to each other once a week The Devy Debate approaches football topics from views as a player, team exec/manager, a fan perspective, business perspective, I could go on. Listening to DD has me realizing how many more angles there are to view college football. The Recruiting team of The Official, are MAKING UP NEW METRICS. They are the Pythagoras or Euclid of the recruitment world. They’ve helped me dominate C2C drafts with their knowledge of high school players. No one knows more about incoming recruits. They also feel far more accurate than recruiting service. I can finally stop listening to fan pages that think their perspective incoming freshmen are the next Megaton or AB. Chasing the Natty has expanded my knowledge on coaching systems. Nate always sounds like he has to self filter so he doesn’t come off to harsh. Jared, who has one of those super nice guy voices almost never speaks negatively. Love their knowledge of depth charts from rosters that change so much year to year Back 2 Devy has a dynamic dou. Cory who pronounces 4 names wrong a week. Mike who’s digging deep and also not afraid to be out on players that everyone else is in on. Love this realism-ness, compared to most shows that feel like just hype group and optimistic about every collegiate prospect. You can’t find too many shows dedicated to devy with a weekly schedule. They can be entertaining as well compared to some have old hosts with mono voices, or others that won’t change a take for 5 years. Love that these guy don’t just talk numbers, I can look up a box score too. They always try to present a full picture and aren’t afraid to admit mistakes, unlike the devy debate hosts (joking). The overall banter between all these guys across shows has me not wanting to miss an inside joke while learning more about football. Being a fan for years and watching the growth has been amazing. Listening to these shows has changed my perspective on almost every team. The growth from Devy Debate to expanding with what feels like 5 or more shows. It’s been fun, I’ll be a listener for life can’t wait to see what they do next.”
