Why no interview with attachment expert?
Nice to see neuro divergence handled with sensitivity but yet again no understanding that someone can have autism and other things (ie co-morbidities). There were two interviews with autism experts but no interviews with trauma and attachment specialists despite the fact the judge raised the issue of his abandonment issues on the summing up. Attachment disorder is far more common than autism and a far more likely driver of his behaviour because of the way it messes up your relationships with others. I’m glad people are talking about autism more but it should not be at the expense of other neuro divergent conditions, which in this story seem far more relevant.

Really enjoyed this podcast, had me gripped from the first episode. The episode where the mother is interviewed however is a hard listen. Not wanting to accept the reality of the damage to others that her son caused over a decade was distressing.

A very well reported, structured and produced series. Excellent work. Found interview with his mother to be very alarming and victim-blamey.
