IRCC invited 763 PNP candidates in the new Express Entry draw
On August 13, 2024, IRCC held its latest Express Entry draw, inviting 763 Provincial Nominee Program candidates to apply for permanent residence. The cut-off score? 690 points—just four points higher than the last PNP draw. This was the sixth PNP-specific draw of the year, with the tie-breaking rule set to April 26, 2024. So far in 2024, Canada has issued 69,342 invitations through Express Entry. The competition is heating up, with over 207,000 profiles now in the pool!
The BCPNP held a new draw for tech professionals and skilled workers
On August 13, 2024, British Columbia held its latest Provincial Nominee Program draw, focusing on tech professionals and skilled workers in key sectors. The province invited 45 tech candidates with a minimum score of 120 points, along with 35 early childhood educators, 27 healthcare workers, 27 construction workers, and up to 5 in veterinary care. In total, 139 invitations were issued in this draw, bringing the year's total to 4,321 invitations. BC is making big moves to fill critical job roles!
Ontario held two draws under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream
On August 13, 2024, Ontario held not one, but two draws under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker Stream! The province issued 420 targeted invitations to healthcare workers and 958 to professionals in other priority occupations. The minimum scores? Just 50 and 54 points. All candidates had profiles created within the past year. So far in 2024, Ontario has invited a whopping 33,912 candidates under the OINP. Big opportunities are on the horizon!
British Columbia invited more candidates under BCPNP’s Entrepreneur Stream
On August 13, 2024, British Columbia held new draws under the Entrepreneur Stream of the BCPNP, inviting 10 business-savvy candidates in the Base Category. The lowest score? 117 points, just one point higher than the last draw. Additionally, up to 5 entrepreneurs were invited in the Regional Pilot category, with a minimum score of 122. These draws are perfect for experienced businesspeople looking to start or buy a business in BC. So far this year, 55 entrepreneurs have been invited to bring their ideas to life in British Columbia!
