No fear-mongering clickbait
Unlike that big video channel with a very similar name, this crew consistently stays grounded and realistic. Most preparedness helps us deal with real life issues: loss of power, storms, disasters, etc. Prepping for real life covers the bases all the extreme events people seem to yearn for. The gang and their guests discuss the things they’ve personally done each week, (my favorite part.) Whether a guest or just a group chat, they have great questions or points they’ve laid out. You can tell these folks study and live the topics. They’re radio techs, medics, and people with real experience setting up their off-grid power systems. They grow their food and raise their chickens. They ask for a simple donation without trying to drive you to the affiliate links. I make a living writing post-apoc fiction, so I utilize this podcast to help keep up my list of tips to sprinkle into the stories. Keep it up, my northern friends. Pat, Washington state

Great show as usual. Ask Alan or Ian whoever he is today about the Three word thing for Search and Rescue. What was the app or name of it. Enjoy the subject matter on this podcast. Jeff in New Mexico

Despite their glaring Canadiosity, these guys put on a great podcast, fun and informative. It’s moved into my top 3 prepcasts.
