Could’ve been told in one hr-long episode
This podcasts drags for no good reason. The description promises real political scandal and doesn’t deliver. Even in the #MeToo era, and speaking as a woman who has been groped against my will, I don’t see why there needed to be six 30min episode. An hour would’ve been sufficient. It’s self-indulgent and contributes to the dilution of what counts as sexual harassment and the trivialization of the movement. In the grand scheme of things, was this so egregious a “crime” and so significant an injustice? I’d say no, and apparently so does the law by the reporter’s own research. The journalist wanted there to be a story because she spent a lot of time and energy. A sad soundtrack and much explanation of methodology don’t create newsworthiness. Turn to UNBELIEVABLE on Netflix, based on reporting by ProPublica and TAL, instead.

Compelling, confronting and important work by Amy and team. The bravery and heartbreak of the two women is breathtaking. Thankyou to them both for sharing their stories. They needed to be told.

Very well done Amy. Best piece of reporting I’ve heard in a long time. Thank you. And best wishes to the women heroines in this story who refused to be defined by what happened to them, and are now celebrated for their brave responses to it. Well done all of you.
