Matt Ode is a 23-year-old, Stage 3C Testicular Cancer Survivor based in the US. Following a healthy daily routine since childhood, cancer was an unexpected and shocking turn in his life. According to him, in such situations, all you have to think about is what can be done in the present for a better future rather than sobbing about what has already happened. The practicality and maturity of mind at such a young age helped this young survivor to be what he is at present. He chose to focus on his present, trying to learn from what life has to teach and become a better version of himself rather than making excuses for being a victim of the disease. “There are so many rock-bottoms in life which can actually be the beginning of a new chapter for your life because the only place you can go from a rock-bottom is ‘up’”.
