Incredible acting and sound design, fun story
I really thought I would be able to listen to Carcerem while doing other things around the house. Podcasts are a great companion for daily life. But a few moments in, I kew that wasn’t going to work. The sound design was so engaging, seized my mind’s eye and held it rapt to the point that I had to sit down and focus. This series has everything you would want from a fantasy—women and men sword fighting and strategizing together, supernatural forces, beasts, marauding villains with complex motives, coming-of-age angst, battle loyalty, intergenerational lore, a magical puzzle quest… and after that finale, I’m hoping for a second season to get a few questions answered! Incredible performances from a star-studded cast, and extraordinary production values with masterful sound design. Hiiiiiighly recommend.

I had no idea what to expect and at first didn’t think it would be for me, but glad I took a shot and listened to the first episode. Looking forward to more!

Kudos to Shane Salk and...Read full review »
