“This was almost good, but not quite. It never really took off in a way that captivated me. At first I thought the acting was pretty good but then the performances started getting a little heavy handed/melodramatic. It couldn’t seem to set a tone that worked. Something always felt slightly off. Was it the story or the writing or the pacing? Was it the acting? The sound design? I think all of the above. But none of them were terrible. It just didn’t come together in a very satisfying way.”
