Lorenzo Fassina, Assistant Professor, Bioengineering Lab., Dept. of Electrical Computer and Biomedical Engineering, University of Pavia, ITALY speak on “Bone Tissue Engineering via biomaterials and physical stimuli”.
A brief introduction to Tissue Engineering will be done, in particular about the concepts of biocompatibility, tensegrity, mechanotransduction, and physical stimuli for the cell culture in vitro.
Afterthat, some recent own works of bone tissue engineering will be presented emphasizing the biological effects of physical stimuli.
