One of the things that’s kept me going over the years
My very first podcast… was Serial, because zeitgeist. However, in the lead up to Season 5 of Game of Thrones, I read all 5 books GRRM has released one July, since everyone had told me that winds of winter would probably drop in late 2015/early 2016 (LOL). Along with this quick binging of the series I put myself through, I decided that I needed more GoT content to supplement my experience. So the second podcast that I found myself listening to was Cast of Thrones. A group of normal people with varying levels of insight into the shows/books, that just seemed to have a great time watching and discussing this show with their friends. Eventually, I think at the beginning of a Season 6 episode of the podcast, they mentioned another Geekly cast, Drunks and Dragons, and from that moment, I was fully hooked into GeeklyInc. The various recordings and personalities found throughout the network have helped pick me up in the tunes that I’ve been down, and as Nick has been saying in recent weeks, Cast of Thrones is what started everything. I am so very thankful for this podcast, especially when I hear someone talking about those sweet, sweet donkeys. Was that an attempt to emotionally manipulate the cast into taking a donkey all throughout the series finale recap next week? Who’s to say?

I listened to episode 7 and I really liked it. I enjoyed the nerdy discussion so much that I'm going to listen to all of the previous episodes. This is the best GoT podcast in the world.Read full review »

Then this podcast is for you! I'm going to be honest, I haven't read the books, but his podcast is a really great way to get some more background info, which you wouldn't get by just watching the show on TV. And the great thing about it is, that it's all done in a very casual,...Read full review »
