“The first nail in the coffin of my interest in Game of Thrones was the terrible handling of Jaime raping Cersei. Then, when I had heard rumors of Sansa being raped, I finally let my warriness after seasons of physical and sexual violence being perpetrated against women for viewer titilation, male character development, and shock value end my viewership of Game of Thrones for good. Yet, my burning desire to know about Games of Thrones never went away, so I am so glad that a podcast like this exists. The episode discussions about Cersei and Sansa were like a fresh drink of water, and the Wine, Women, and Westeros episodes are the delight of my life. There are not words to describe how glad I am that Jennifer Cheek exists and how refreshing and entertaining this podcast is.”
