Isaac is one of the heroes of faith who are mentioned in Hebrews 11. He is the promised son of Abraham and Sarah. His name means laughter, which is derived from the reaction of his mother when she heard that she would have a child in her old age. Isaac’s life may not be as exciting and powerful as his father’s, but we can see that God uses him to confirm his promises to Abraham.
